CLC1 (June-August '18)
Biblical Masculinity 102: Teacher: Brian Adey
This course is a continuation of Biblical Masculinity. We will review some of the concepts from the previous course, and delve more deeply into what the Bible has to say about being a man. We will also explore what roles and responsibilities God has given to men, and how, with His help, we can best fulfill them. Both men and women are welcome to attend.
The Gospel According to Mark: Teacher: Dave Trepanier
This session in CLC, Pastor Dave will be teaching through the book of Mark. The shortest of the Gospels, Mark provides a fast-paced, thorough narrative of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Due to the limited time in the session, the class will focus on major themes, overall structure, narrative patterns, and theology. Attention will also be given to harmonization of the Gospels, synoptic discrepancies, and the fourfold Gospel. This course will provide a great starting point to further study the Gospel on your own.
Suffering and the Sovereignty of God: Teacher: Andy Hixon
All people experience suffering and sorrow. As we grapple with the hardships and sorrows that accompany life in this fallen world, it is crucial that we build our understanding of human suffering and divine sovereignty on the firm foundation of Scripture. In this powerful teaching series, Dr. R.C. Sproul Jr. shares poignant stories from his own life as he presents important scriptural teachings about God’s role in human suffering. Join us as we wrestle with a key issue that believers for hundreds of years have struggled with, as a proper understanding can be a powerful witness to a world that doesn’t understand God.
